Appointment changes
Cancellation and refund policy
Fair conditions for cancelling, rescheduling or ending a consultation before completion.
Cancellation window
You may cancel a confirmed consultation by emailing info@scriptworkbase.digital. A cancellation received at least 24 hours before the appointment qualifies for a full refund of the consultation fee. You may instead reschedule once without charge within 60 days, subject to availability.
Late cancellation and no-show
For less than 24 hours’ notice, we may retain 50% of the fee to cover preparation and time that could not reasonably be reassigned. If you do not attend and give no notice, the full fee is non-refundable. We consider documented emergencies individually and may offer a refund or new date.
Work already started
If you commission document review or letter preparation and cancel after expressly asking us to begin, a proportionate amount for completed work may be deducted. Once a marked-up draft, action note or consultation has been fully delivered, that completed part is non-refundable except where the service was defective or mandatory consumer rights require a remedy.
No purchased materials or deposits normally apply to our standard appointments. If a custom engagement needs third-party materials, its written quote will identify any non-recoverable cost before purchase.
If Scriptworkbase cancels
If we cannot provide the appointment, you may choose a new date or a full refund. If technical failure prevents a video session and no practical alternative works, we will reschedule without charge or refund the undelivered service.
Refund method and timing
Send the booking reference, payer name and reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 working days; a bank or card provider may take additional time to display them. Partial-refund calculations are explained in writing.
Consumer withdrawal rights
Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, we provide the required information separately. If you expressly request performance during a withdrawal period, you may owe a proportionate amount for work supplied before withdrawal; the right may expire after full performance with the required prior consent and acknowledgement. Mandatory rights are not limited by this policy.
